Print from 35mm slide dated 1961.
What a difference a fraction of a second makes in photographs.
Can you picture how poised she stood, perhaps with a perfectly practiced sultry expression, ready for her close-up? As much as I would love to see how she wanted to pose before the wave crashed, I’m delighted that this is the moment recorded. Because the slide survived until 2016, I think the photographer (and the model?) also loved the result.
Printed on archival photo rag paper. Sizes listed are the external dimensions of the print.
